Project 1

The Brief

Bridgeland Engineering was contacted by a special purpose vehicle manufacturer seeking to improve productivity, to reduce vehicle wiring time and improve on consistency and reliability.

The Solution

To centralise all control functions onto one PCB, pre-assemble with cableforms for 'plug and play' application.

The Design

PCB layout with variant options to facilitate batch production.  To be housed in a proprietary housing to the appropriate IP rating.  The design incorporated a bespoke 'in-cab' membrane control panel.

Project 2

The Brief

Our customer required an aesthetic, durable, mobile unit to deliver hypoxic air at predetermined oxygen levels.  The equipment needed to be easy to operate with continual monitoring to ensure critical air quality.

The Solution

To generate hypoxic air using pneumatic membrane technology with the output being controlled by PLC through an HMI touchscreen colour display.

The Design

Mechanical, pneumatic and electronic specifications were co-ordinated and developed to produce a functioning test unit.  During rigorous testing, working drawings and specifications were produced ready for production.

Manufacture

Bridgeland Engineering produced the metalwork with epoxy powder finishing, carried out the mechanical and electrical assembly, wired and test presented the unit in the customer's livery for onward shipment to the end user.
